I came across this great little article on womenscycling.ca about offseason spin training for cyclists. Laurel-Lea Shannon discusses the “5 big benefits of spinning” – weight loss, muscle tone, cardiovascular endurance, low impact activity, and, of course, how much FUN it is!
This line jumped out at me. “Depending upon your weight and how intense your workout is, you can burn up to 500 calories an hour!” Very true…but we had 3 people who burned over 800 in class this week!!
